La Ruta
The Rec del Solà is one of the quietest and most accessible trails in Andorra. It follows the course of a historic irrigation canal that runs along the southern slope of the valley, from the Sant Ermengol plateau toward the capital, with barely 3 meters of elevation change over the entire route.
5 practically flat kilometers with views of the valley's agricultural fields, the urban growth of Andorra la Vella, and the mountains that frame it. The path includes interpretive panels about the valley's historical transformation: from an agricultural economy to a commercial hub in the Pyrenees.
No technical complications of any kind. Perfect for days when you want to take it easy, to break in your dog on Andorran trails, or to hike with small children. The return can be made along the same path or combined with public transportation.
Localización
The route starts at the Sant Ermengol plateau in Andorra la Vella. Follow the signs for the Rec del Solà from the center of the capital heading south towards the slope. There is public transport from Andorra la Vella.
