Hostal Alda Alborán

A Coruña will surprise you, and the Alda Alborán is the perfect base to discover it. Located in the old town, literally just around the corner from Plaza María Pita, you're where the magic begins: the city has life in every corner. In less than 10 minutes on foot you can reach the beaches of Riazor and Orzán, where Galician sunsets are taken seriously.

This hostel is small but well-organized. The 30 rooms are well-maintained, all with free wifi, private bathroom, flat-screen TV and heating. Some have balconies with city views, which adds points if you're looking for a bit more style. The elevator makes life much easier, and the service is attentive (reviews speak of friendly and helpful staff).

The area is pure commercial and gastronomic energy. You have Calle Real and La Franja within less than 5 minutes, full of bars, cafés and restaurants where you can eat local products without fuss. Breakfast is not included (but they offer it for €7 if you need it), so the surroundings solve that issue without any problem.

The wifi, location and cleanliness are what guests appreciate the most. Outside noise in some rooms occasionally comes up (unavoidable in the old town), but nothing that prevents you from sleeping. Everything fits within what you'd expect for this price range in a beautiful city.
