Alda Palas de Rei

Palas de Rei is a name known to every pilgrim who has walked the French Way of St. James. It's the starting point of the final stage before arrival: the atmosphere is one of adventure's end, of people with worn-out boots and slightly lighter backpacks. The Alda Palas de Rei sits right in the heart of that energy.

A small and welcoming hotel, designed for genuine rest after the day's journey. The rooms are simple but have everything you need, and the staff is accustomed to welcoming all kinds of travelers, including those arriving with dogs.

The surroundings are spectacular for walking: low woodland, oak trees, forest trails and very little traffic. It's one of the greenest stretches of the Camino. For those not doing the route on foot, the area has quiet paths perfect for outings with pets.
