Restaurants where your dog is welcome
The problem with pet-friendly restaurants isn't finding them — anyone can look up which ones have a terrace on Google Maps — it's knowing whether they'll actually let your dog in when you get there. Here you'll find restaurants we've visited or know first-hand: places where your dog can sit right beside you, where nobody gives you a funny look, and where the food is worth the trip on its own.
For now we have verified restaurants in Cataluña (Barcelona and Sitges), Madrid and Andorra. We're constantly adding new destinations and new places. If you know somewhere that deserves a spot here, let us know.

How to find a great restaurant with your dog?
The golden rule is to call ahead, especially if it's your first time. Even if a restaurant is listed as pet-friendly, conditions vary: some only allow dogs on the outdoor terrace, others throughout the whole dining area, and a few welcome them inside even without a terrace. There can also be a difference between weekdays and weekends, when the place is packed.
Chain restaurants like Federal Café have a consistent pet-friendly policy across all their locations, making them a safe bet when you're visiting a new city. Independent venues tend to be more flexible but also less predictable.
In Andorra the situation is especially relaxed: pet-friendly culture is deeply rooted there, and it's perfectly normal to see dogs on terraces, in bars and even inside some venues without anyone batting an eye.
